Homeownership + Sailing = less sailing

Unfortunately, homeownership and sailing don't seem to be jiving as well as I'd hoped. I bought a house this year that needed some TLC. It seems the house enjoys taking my attention away from the water. Its a demanding house, but it also has a lot to offer. Fortunately, I have a great garage spot in a tandem garage for the boat. No more feuding with Lenexa about where in my yard to store the Snipe. Hopefully, with some good wind and great weather lasting into the late summer and fall, I'll be able to get out more.

Of note - two weekends ago I found myself out at SMP enjoying some strong wind and gusty conditions. It was a blast!

I have similar problems, not with the city or neighborhood, but wifey is concerned about progress on three Snipes in restoration vs. home and honey-do projects. It all fits in somehow but boat projects always seem to be last. Join SCIRA USA to keep up to date on Snipe sailing!

My restoration project is taking a back seat because of the house as well. I am determined to get to it this year. I am searching around to find a new mast. Any thoughts? Mine is ancient and was never set up with spreaders!

Can you edit and update your Blog? There are some unwanted porno messages on your site. Do you still have your Snipe, no posts about that in the past year or two. There is a Clinton Lake sailor who has a Blog too (Bill Vokac), he has a Snipe for sale.
